Air Force A-7's?

What are the chances of century doing an air force bird? Id love to see a Colorado ANG A-7D or A-7K but century thus far has only produced navy birds..

Re: Air Force A-7's?

All depends on if they made the mold capable of doing a D-model. Looks like it's possible from the early pics, but really can't be sure. I'm pretty sure they copied the Fujimi kit, which is capable of doing all variants---but you never know if they made changes to simplify it for diecast etc.

I'd like the Iowa ANG, first military plane I ever saw. Several camo schemes, especially fond of the green/grey combo which wasn't that common AFAIK---you normally see SEA or two-tone grey on ANG A-7's.

Yeah and there was that short lived and rare two tone dessert scheme. But man I loved all three of the common ones. Espectially the two tone grey and the green grey aka Lizard scheme.

Re: Air Force A-7's?

They used to fly alot of them in the PA ANG here in Pittsburgh, I hope they consider making that one as well.

Re: Air Force A-7's?

Judging from the pre-pro pictures in the Mule newsletter, I would say yes to the Air Force A-7.

You will notice the aerial refueling port on the back of the A-7. I believe only the Air Force uses that port. Navy uses the refueling probe on the right side of the nose. Interestingly the probe is missing on the pre-pro model.

Re: Air Force A-7's?

We had the Stingers out here at the 180th, 112th fighter wing. D model. Had the green scheme with a hornet on the tail, a pretty cool livery model. Yep, have to think they will do the darker green livery somehow, it was iconic for the aircraft. I do like quite a few of the liveries posted in the other thread here, there are plenty to choose from.

Ditto on the hometown bird. A COANG A-7 would be great.

Ed Kao is right on the money on this one! I hope the refueling probe that's supposed to be on the starboard side will be there for the Navy version? Zed or Yoshi...please chime in!

Slap a coat of primer on it, paint and stamp, that's going to look real nice on my shelf.

Re: Air Force A-7's?

That's definitely a pre-pro for the Air Force bird, not the Navy one.
