Well mine showed up yesterday, and I must say I'm delighted to have an A-6!! That being said I do have some nitpicky issues, which do not really detract from the model as a whole, but I did notice them...

First is what looks like damage and maybe a repair where the right intake joins the fuselage at the top....the other side does not look like this:

Looks like the b/n needs to lose some weight and watch where he is stepping.

I typically don't collect jets, but I saw this one today and had to have it as it has always been my favorite Navy jet..
I really like the job Century did with this piece and mine is almost perfect, but, I have plans to fly this on sorties around the office and I didn't care for leaving the center tank on the stand.. That is weird, but it works..

Then just generally the panel lines are not nearly as precise and crisp as on my AJ210 F-14...it just looks sloppy up close...

I'm seeing exactly the same observations you made, and I have to agree with you. I do hope the QC issues is minimized on my example, though?

Still, mine is on it's way and look forward to having it for my collection.

Hey man those panel lines are actually what got me excited about this model. A carrier plane flies through salty, foamy, dusty air .he operations around the deck and hangar make it often quite grimey. Some of these birds are nearly as old as half our members and have had lots of leaks and repairs or even multiple paint jobs. I love the greasy dirty panel lines. The intake though is inexcuseable.

I got this model today and I have to say that it is an excellent 1:72 reproduction.
The way wapons & fuel tanks and landing gear fit together it reminded me about the HM's Skyhawks.
This A-6 is one great model. I look forward to their new models.
What's next from CW? Does anybody know?

I'm just waiting for mine since last week. I believe that this one will be the first Intruder from Century Wings in Brazil.

Thanks, guys, for the welcome! I really can't wait for my model. It's gonna be the first USN jet in my collection, followed in next month by the HM A-4B from VA-106. I'm just lookin for a F-4 also from the Navy..

The flare dispensers on the bottom of the A-6. Are they supposed to be on a vintage 1978 A-6? I remember seeing them in the mid-late 80's. Any A-6 experts around?
