Well now we know that it's VX-4's F-14A, not their F-14D. And it comes with lots of dummy missiles---very useful, might buy it for those alone! (I was probably going to get it anyways, but lots of dummy missiles is a big incentive)

Just some FYI for people:

This is 159853, a Block 90 F-14A. Was with VF-124 then 213 for a few years early on, but spent the rest of its career with VX-4. Block 90 introduced the nose probe.

As much as I love all things Tomcat....and CW Tomcats especially!......I'll probably have to pass on this one. I already have the D on pre-order and I know I won't beable to resist the VF-111 either! Money is too short now that I bought a house!

I noticed that they did fix the engine nozzle colors. Though they're still not back to the VF-84 nozzle colors, which were perfect IMHO.

Now bring on a VF-1 circa 1975 with the one of the old style Beaver tails...either the modified or unmodified. Then a VF-143 F-14B (they haven't made a B yet) and then I would be a very happy camper if they make these 2 Tomcats!!

Despite that, it shouldn't be too hard to get. Hefner's private DC-9 (similar scheme) has about 5 different models of it out---only 1 of which is licensed at all, much less for sale in multiple countries!

And we can always hope that Century releases the later version of the black F-14D, which has no Playboy logo.
