Re: A-6 control surfaces color

Matters little to me as I also see white noses and beige noses mixed together as well as a black refueling probe and ones with black, red, and yellow nozzles. This model could depict the plane as it was painted during a given day, week, or mission.

I'm going to convince myself that this scheme was correct for a particular day.

Re: A-6 control surfaces color

Could have been. I'm just saying it would have been better to either:

A. Model a different plane that we know for sure was painted like that, like AJ504. Or:

B. Paint the stabs white, like we know for sure it wore at some point.

Why guess/hope about some particular scheme/plane combination, when you know for sure about lots of other planes/schemes? (that's a semi-rhetorical question to Century) Either way of the two things I mentioned would result in an accurate-for-certain model.

Re: A-6 control surfaces color

another area on the A-6 that varies is the black anti glare area. some have the black covering the the entire front of the canopy frame, others about half way up.
it needs extending either way on the first two releases.
