I'm with you - SKUNKY. I like the early F-111 version used during the Vietnam War. What version was that? BTW, what was the official name - Aardvark or Raven?

Re: Would you like an FB-111 for your collection.

One of the first models I ever built was an F-111. I would love to have one, but price is a consideration.

I might have to wait a few years until they either show up at TM, or either get one from one of you guys for a great deal after you got tired of it.

That was the F-111A in Vietnam. I flew that model myself at Mountain Home AFB, Idaho, from 1981 to 1983. The F-111 never had an official nickname until after it was retired from the Air Force, when the authorities decided to name it "Aardvark" since that's what it had been called throughout its career anyway. The EF-111 was officially named Raven from pretty early on in its life (these were re-worked A models anyway, not new-built airframes).
