Re: Help needed!! Century Wings Jolly Rogers #200

I use a very small screwdriver, and try to lift the piece out "evenly"----if you try to lift one end all the way up, then the other---it won't work. It must remain level. Work from both sides if you need to. Also try using toothpicks, they won't scratch the paint---once you get one end up just a little bit, put toothpicks in and around it to hold it there, while you work on the other end. Once you have both ends up just a little bit, try to get something underneath it, and pop it out.

Also, sand off excess paint before you put it in again. Century really should STOP painting the outside of the gear well---all it does is make them go in too tightly.

Re: Help needed!! Century Wings Jolly Rogers #200

guys...

i got another problem... while trying to take out my stucked closed landing gear covers.

i accidentally bump one of my side weapon holder.. i don't know if you get what i mean.. but it broke off...

sad case man... think i will try my best to glue it back after i could take out the stucked parts.. and hope nothing goes wrong anymore...

anyway guys... i'm from singapore like some of you.

i would like to order a few more pieces of different F-14s from Century Wings.

is there anywhere in singapore that sell it?

or do you all know of a place to get them?

or a trustable online shop or dealer?

i really would like to get more F-14 models.

i'm really amazed by the model century wings make.

as i'm new to collecting planes.

sort of a new collection other than my diecast model cars.

thanks guys.

pls be glad to see your replies.

feeling very heartpain abt my model..

couldn't slp last nite.. sad

Welcome Aboard Lim_Yong_Kiat. I would suggest theflyingmule.com for an online retailer. Hope it works out for you.

Re: Help needed!! Century Wings Jolly Rogers #200

finally....

i sort of fixed my problems..

as no matter how i tried, i couldn't take out the 2 sides closed landing gears.

i tried to push the stucked closed landing gear that i had into place.. and "CLICK"

i managed to get it fix nicely into it now!

in a way... i fixed my problem.. in another words.. good bye to changing to landing gears ever again.. but nevermind.. i'm now a happy man..

managed to glue back the broken part too..!!

currently i'm planning to get another #200, the same as mine.. juz to display it with landing gears on.

and also to get the up coming #210.

not planning to get the fixed wings version.. even though i liked the kneeling front gears very much..

as i like variable wings.. haha.

thanks guys for your advises.

being new to plane collections, i have many more to learn.
