Re: Century F-14 Jolly Roger

Zed, I don't know if they take ideas /suggestions but For any other extended wing configuration or really any bird for that matter......why not include gear that is actually extended...meaning the main gear is not compressed like it was sitting on the ramp. I think it would be cool to see one with the gear struts uncompressed so if you wanted to display it on the stand with gear down it would look like it was in flight after take off or on approach. Just an idea for something different or unique...like their kneeling Tomcat. It never made sense to me to include a stand for an aircraft model with the gear in fixed in the down position when the struts aren't extended. ( I know this is not the case with Century Wings but you know what I mean.)

Re: Century F-14 Jolly Roger

just checked the website and more pics have been added of the vf-21 and vf-154 jets.looking at the layout of the vf-154 jets it looks like those who wish to add gbu 10's,12's and 16's it wont be too difficult to add them.
all the bombs provided are attached to the bomb rack's which then push fit with pins into the phoenix pallets.hasegawa provide racks and gbu's

Dang it, that new VF-154 Tomcat is looking better everyday. But it would look best on my shelf.

Re: Century F-14 Jolly Roger

Are there any differences between the 2 VF-154 Tomcats besides the numbers? Load outs look the same, but I can't tell if the colors are really different or if the lighting in the photo for the 101 bird is off, Zed??

Re: Century F-14 Jolly Roger

no difference just the numbers, camo exactly the same.
i had originally thought we may have had these released like the vf-84 jets one in launch configuration the other normal to make them slightly different.
will ask yoshi if more launch configured cats will be released in the future as this version has been very popular

Re: Century F-14 Jolly Roger

Any news on the release date for the VF-152 birds? Looking at the topgun website it seems as if they have released them there but I am not sure.

I would like to see just such a thing as well..This would be especially impressive with F/A-18s where their landing gear "hang" is extremely pronounced..For this reason Hornet models look especially unrealistic when displayed on stands in the '"dirty" configuration.....Now if we could just get some optional position flaps to go along.....
