Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

Ask and you shall receive.
Here's my Crusader photo collection as it currently stands 660 pics. Beware it's 94.63MB

This will only be available for a week or two due to server space usage.

I guess I should state that I do not own the rights to any of these photos and there for cannot transfer the power to any party to use these for any commercial purposes. These are for personal recreational purposes only.

For those who have Apple computers we can't see them....
JP

I'll see if there's anything I can do about that.

Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

I still plan on scanning some stuff----there's still a lot of neat schemes to show to the world.

I'm most interested in shots of Crusaders in action (flight, on deck, employing weapons etc)...There are very few of these types of shots around.

Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

This is from an F-8 pilot on another forum:

VF-194, USS Bon Homme Richard. Going down the catapult sideways due to severe asymmetric load. One Mk84 on the left wing, nothing on the right.

Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

Anyone got pics of Red Devils, VMF-232? Here's a VMF-321 F-8K, pretty unique for squadron markings:

Dark blue, not black.

Sigh---so many neat schemes out there, but so few good photos! Much of what I know is only from drawings, paintings, and decals.

Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

God I love the F-8

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Re: The Official Begging for a Crusader Thread

I was looking through my stuff, but so much is black and white pics in older books. That just doesn't look good scanned and blown up big. For "color pics of schemes" I have almost nothing. I'll probably put up one pic of a VMF-312 plane, but mainly just to show the typical ground-pounding load it's carrying.
