Well, I was more thinking that I got the bits on the right places and a bombcat would carry such a config realistically... as for it being a show bird...

Okay, but then what are all these toys in the box for ?

I just gots to put 'em on.....

They are in the box for those who want to see some muscle on a nice bird. anyway, i heard you can't have those LGB's side by side. Ask David Hingtgen about em

Re: Pics: Grim Reaper "Bombcat"

Yup. You can have most any bomb anywhere in any combination on a Bombcat--EXCEPT for that particular bomb. The GBU-24 is fairly rare for the F-14. Msot every squadron used them, just not very often. We REALLY need GBU-12's or -16's, tons of those were used. The GBU-12 is probably the most common bomb nowadays, F-14/F-18/A-10.

Anyways, the GBU-24 has to go on the forward right, and aft left positions. You can put other bombs in the other positions, but that would be a pretty heavy load with the Mk83's they give you.

Re: Pics: Grim Reaper "Bombcat"

Unfortunately, it isn't possible to put JDAMS and GBUs in the correct loadout, I tried that, you can likely do it with the smaller slick bombs though. I like the looks with the two GBUs forward though, and in this case appearance wins. I have the VF-154 101 with the Grim Reapers showbird on the way, really looking forward to the Delta Tomcat, especially since it has the shark mouth.
