Re: Century Wings: Wings of Heros Pics

Just placed a preorder with the sponsor of our original site. Got both VF-84 versions coming, already have the Black Knights one and have to agree these are the best Tomcats out there. They give you options, they are accurate in most ways, and they look great. These models are what the rest of the manufacturers catering to this hobby ought to aspire to. I'm looking forward to the standard FOV re-release of the Black Aces aircraft, and the Low Vis Black Knights Tomcat, which should be coming with an air to ground package (ie. Lantirn, Smart Bombs, etc.) Also looking forward to more liveries, especially the Iranian one. I will probably be acquiring the Witty Topgun Aggressor, the one and only Witty Tomcat I see myself owning, just for livery variety's sake. This will give me the better part of a squadron of Tomcats, just in time for the type's retirement.

Long live the Glorious Turkey...you were a movie star, and flying you was like dating the hottest chick in school...at least that's what the late George Hall's Tomcat Tribute Book says.

Well, keep in mind you can get two Dragon cats for the price of one of these... $60 for a 1:72 jet is a bit steep for me. (ANd wasn't the Tomcat just retired cuz it was too expensive -- this is a bit too realistic )

Looks pretty sweet though.

You can also date a couple of so so broads for the price of a good one. Yet Quality matters to me. And you can also buy a couple FOVs for the price of one, in fact the FOVs are cheaper than the Dragons most places. Never did like the Dragon Cats, the gear's too flimsy and there's no excuse for not having a pitot tube, especially since the rest of the model's so detailed. Also, I don't like the wing sweep of the Dragons, they don't sweep far or back enough. In my opinion Century's the best, with FOV coming right behind (only the livery really makes a difference), and Witty and Dragon trailing further behind. The FOV offers the most value for the money, but I like what Century has done with their Tomcats livery wise.

Thumbs up Re: Century Wings: Wings of Heros Pics

I just received mine yesterday (it actually arrived the day before but I didn't get a chance to pick it up until the following morning).

Must say that the model definitely lives up to the hype! There's nothing more that I can say about the fantastic look and feel of the whole package that hasn't already been said. However, I can add all these statements had been right on the money. I'm blown away by the model and consider it well worth the high cost and even its expensive shipping from Top Gun in Japan.

Courtesy of Yoshi at Top Gun, the order was placed on Sunday morning, processed in the afternoon, shipped on Monday, and arrived on Wednesday. That's what I call service!!

For all you others who have not received yours, you're in for a real treat

Heads Up!!!

I'd already posted this on the other thread. Thought it might be worthwhile repeating it here too.

I received a message from Yoshi at Top Gun today. The VF84 AJ200/202 are immensely popular and (almost?) all warehouse stock have been reserved by eager distributors!

Dear Min.

Thanks for your shopping.
You are lucky man, because our VF-84 AJ200/202 are almost sold out in my shop.
VF-84 AJ200/202 that are stocked in our warehouse has been already reserved by some distributors.
So, I can't sell them in my shop.

So! If you want one (or five), pre-order yours right away, doesn't look like there would be much stock left at the warehouse!
