Re: Turkeys get replaced with Tomcats

Basically that's it. I will repeat it again. I am looking to get the full cost I paid to an official CW distributor for the CW product. As stated in their own policy listed on their own webs site. I paid twice the amount to get the defective wing, I should get full compensation for the defective piece.
I have Aj200 already, so I would be looking to get two wings I do not have yet. I think that should cover the monies I spent. As for the fustration of dealing with this as I have, its a judgement call on how anyone else would handle that. Definately, I have gone beyond what anyone should to get just compensation in a situation like this.

So...if you had never received a defective model you would be fine with paying so much for it or would you be asking for a refund of the extra money you had to pay to get a model from England? Very interesting.

Re: Turkeys get replaced with Tomcats

Look at that next line:
"(If Century Wings exports the products to overseas directly, Century Wings supports and bears the round-trip freight charge even replacement from overseas.)
For RMA inquiry, please kindly contact your nearest distributor in your country or e-mail to Cenntury Wings directly"

Century Wings absolutely implies their network will honor any sale defects. Again, its not being honored.

Yes Yes Yes! I woudl be happy as could be to have gotten the right model. I paid Merritec right here on the board 60 dollars plus another 65 to ship it to me from Canada. I am willing to pay to get the model I wanted. I am not willing to pay that amount to get a defective piece and should be completely compensated for such. I have not asked for more on the trouble and time I have had trying to. I have not asked for extra for the amount I paid the second time to get the same non-defective model. I am asking that I do get failry compensated and treated right to their own printed policy for a defective piece.

I cannot believe someone would not want to do so int he first place. Cannot believe I have had to jump through so many hoops to make such a point and still not hear back from them on it.

No i don't think you can buy it from Century Wings directly. However, You can buy it from Yoshi's shop which is Top-Gun. So if you bought it from Top-Gun, they will handle it from there. But I don't think you did. And frankly, I think you're over-reacting to this issue, especially if you're demanding 2 models. If you don't want to collect Century Wings anymore, then thats your loss. I have been dealing with Yoshi's shop Top-Gun in Japan and I have had absolutely no problems with their service. I was fortunate enough to get a VF-154 personally delivered to a train station in Japan 1 day before the release date because I wouldn't be in Japan anymore on the day it was released. I've never encountered anywhere near that level of service and if you can top that, then maybe you have a valid point. But if you can't well I think you're complaining to the wrong people about the wrong issues because you certainly don't have any supporters on this topic.

Re: Turkeys get replaced with Tomcats

Like I said before, The Flying Mule owes you ONE free replacement model of your choice at no charge for shipping. Hound them! There is no policy for you paying too much for this model so don't cloud the issue with that. I don't think it is fair for you to expect two free models because you decided to pay more than what is reasonable for one. If you boycott CW you will miss out on the best diecast models available. I still think you will get this resolved but forget about getting two models for one.

Re: Turkeys get replaced with Tomcats

I bet when CW wrote that return shipping policy, they meant it for purchases made from TopGun. There may be something getting lost in the Japanese to English translation here.

Re: Turkeys get replaced with Tomcats

Then you are forgetting about his own e-mail to me above as well.

'm Yoshi Urata, production manager of CenturyWings. I apologize to you that I made some defective pieces and you got one of them.
You have some choices.
1.You can tell the complaint to the purchase shop, and try the returns or exchange. (This is a method of a basic complaint.)
DID FINALLY GET A REPLY, BUT THEY ARE IN THE SAME BOAT AS MYSELF ABSORBING THE COST OF SHIPPING BACK.
2.You can inquire of the exclusive dealer concerning the product exchange.
(We have the exclusive dealer in the U.S and the U.K. )
OK TRY THE FLYING MULE, THE OFFICIAL US DISTRIBUTOR TO HANDLE IT ( YEP THEY ARE SUPPOSEDLY NETWORKED AND SUPPOSE TO SUPPORT EACH OTHER) DID THAT, NO GO THERE.
North America Exclusive Distributor http://www.century.co.jp/wings/distributor/usa.html
DITTO...
Europe Exclusive distributor http://www.century.co.jp/wings/distributor/uk.html
SHIPPING COST NAILING ME AGAIN...
3.I can offer the exchange if you send a defective piece to our company (Japan). However, it is the product selling in progress. I'm sorry, I don't have VF-84 AJ200,202,210. You have to choose from
others.

Their policy is not getting honored. You can't pick and choose. which line or words at the moment you want.
Even if you want to interpet it, would you as a customer expect to be fully compensated? As a business, woudn't you expect your distribution network to work with each other for each other's sake? Thats business 101, why you have networks like that in the first place.

As posted above, I do have support from distributors and customers on this. You guys refuse to read it all but pass judgement just the same. Sad stuff, again, hope those that allow it eventually experience it. You are helping to make bad service possibility for others with such support. CW 's not the only model maker in the world, again, sorry to walk away from such a great product, but never from such bad customer service. If they do this to enough customers, they won't be around long either, customers won't want to be be burned when they spend that extra amount of money for a superior product and don't get it.
