We recieved these in yesterday. I have to say that this model is fantastic. I think the thing that stands out the moist has to be the build quality, It's outstanding. Plus the ordinance, specifically the AIM-54 Pheonix, is well detailed and has no visible seems.

I will be posting a photo profile on this model as well as the new Dragon Me262 NightFighter and the Carousel One Fw190D later today.

As promised, I've attached a few pics of the AJ202 airplane.

1. Starboard profile view. Sorry about the lighting. In the background, the FOV VF-154 F-14A, which in some sense is a "prototype" of the current CenturyWings models. Note the area behind the canopy -- no hinges!

2. Forward view, showing the "kneeling" position to advantage.

3. Quarter-view macro. VF-84 in this period had brand-new airplanes in gloss paint, so the absence of weathering is accurate. Despite this, the skin finish does not look at all toy-like.

Finally: CenturyWings VF-84 F-14A side-by-side with FOV VF-154 F-14A. They clearly share a pedigree, but the former shows some subtle but significant refinements, including thinner ejection loops and intake lips, streamlined probes, canopy design, nosegear, etc. (I also think that the tailfins on the VF-84 are positioned more properly outward, though one can debate whether they are tilted enough.)

I received a message from Yoshi at Top Gun today. The VF84 AJ200/202 are immensely popular and (almost?) all warehouse stock have been reserved by eager distributors!
