Re: new vf84 jolly rogers tomcats in japan

I love how this man is such a big Tomcat fan! Glad to here that he may be making F-4's. Here is the F-4E squdron I was talking about. ANG 108TFW 141st TFS that was based out of McGuire AFB. I grew up around McGuire so I I have a fondness for this squadron, plus IMHO they have the best AF/ANG markings!

Chris

edit: ok I uploaded pictures but they didn't come up? I'll try again later.

This may be my only chance to get a really good F-4. I would pay big bucks for a well done f-4. Corgi's attempt fell way short. NO detail. I will keep my eyes open.............

OK I'm at a new computer so hopefully the images will download. It's a shame too, these Phantom II's were sweet and they were supposed to upgrade to F-16's but instead they got KC-135's . Anyway here you go!

Not sure, but I believe those that already have theirs had to purchase from overseas and cost around $100 maybe more. Mule would be the best way to go IMHO......if you don't mind waiting that is.

These Century F-14 Jolly Roger Tomcats will be coming in any day now i was told.
These look to be the best one's to date in the 1/72 scale range.

Re: new vf84 jolly rogers tomcats in japan

I'll reiterate that they (based on pics I've seen) are not merely the best and most accurate 1/72 diecast Tomcat by far, they are among the best Tomcat models period---any scale, and including diecast, wood, resin, and plastic kits. The sheer number and accuracy of differences between the Jolly Rogers and Black Knights releases shows that Century knows their F-14's/does research, and I expect their F-14B to blow away 99% of plastic kits even. (It is possible they could even beat the Hasegawa kits) I'm just waiting for a new thread or something to post my big F-14 wish-list.

Re: new vf84 jolly rogers tomcats in japan

I have the VF-84 AJ200 F-14A and I have to agree that it's the best among my diecast collection. I'm looking forward to the more recent VF-154 F-14A.

Beside the numbering, are there any difference in terms of appearance between the 100 and 101 plane? Besides the 5 F-14As, is it confirmed that Century Wings will be offering F-14B and F-14D? I may have to plan my purchase as the price is quite steep though it's worth for the quality.
