Two more P-36s dropped off by the Postman

Well it was another good day as far as P-36s go. Today I received the next two Carousel P-36s, and have to say they look just as nice as the first. So I guess it is time to post some pictures.

Starting off with 6122 the 27th Pursuit Squadron P-36 in the Cleveland Air Races paint scheme. This is the one I wanted the most, and not dissapointed at all. My main concern was to whether it would come equipped with wing mounted machine guns,,,, well as you can see in the pictures it does. Wing armament does open all sorts of potential for doing some of the Hawk 75 export versions. (Snagged this on eBay for $33.65).

Now on to the third P-36 for the week. This would be 6123 the USAAC 18th PG, "Gold Bug", Ken Walker, Wheeler Field, Pearl Harbor P-36. Definitely has a bit of a flashy paint scheme. This one looks to be a dealers dispaly model and not one of the normal releases Which explains why I was able to snag it a bit early (A bit more than the previous one but at $50.55 still not to bad of a deal.). This one also has the Hamilton prob logo markings on the propellar blades, pretty neat.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Not too shabby. I hope that C1 produces one in an olive drab C/S. That would look cool next to their P-40.

Thumbs up Re: Two more P-36s dropped off by the Postman

Very nice CC. The potential for export versions like the French one would be very cool.

Truth be told I would agree that an olive drab version would be really good to see. The initial scheme aren't quite to my liking.

If they go with an OD version, hope they give 2nd Lt. Larry Brown's aircraft some consideration. He achieved two victories during the Pearl Harbor attack and it would be neat to see his plane done. His son lives in California and is probably the premier expert in WWII aircraft recognition models, and is an all around nice person too.

Following site has some neat information covering Lt Brown's aerial combat on December 7th. travel: Harry Brown: Pearl Harbor Pilot

Yep an Olive Drab P-36 would be great. I would really like to see Lt Browns aircraft being done.
