P-36 dropped off by UPS man today.

Well I just received the Rasmussen P-36 today and have to say I am quite pleased with this model. The folks at Carousel did a great job on the paint scheme on this one. Looks to be overall natural metal finish and nicely done how the differentiated between the metal verses the aluminum doped fabric control surfaces. Neat looking model and I can only find a couple of minor issues with this one. First is the cowling gap/seam as has been mentioned in previous threads, landing gear fit could be a bit tighter, and the one piece canopy section. Why they did not opt for open canopy on this one is beyond me. The folks at Carousel did a fantastic job on the cockpit of this one, and this model would look really sharp with an open cockpit to show off interior detail. The model I received had no quality control issues and I have to say it is a fine looking model. I also have the other two in this series coming and look forward to having all three. The folks at Carousel did a truely fine job on this model and it would be a shame if they did not expand the line to include a French, Dutch and Finnish version of this model (And 2nd Lieutenant Harry W. Brown OD P-36 of Pearl Harbor fame would be neat too.).

Thanks Cruver.
These are the sharpest pictures of a C1 P-36 I have seen to date.

Did these come with a base ?
I have been hearing some people saying Carousel didn't put one out for this.

Have these been released?

Re: P-36 dropped off by UPS man today.

I originally thought these were not being released until the 10th of September for at least the second one in the series, but received an email today indicating that both were shipped 2nd of September (yesterday). Hoping they will arrive at the earliest Thursday or Friday.

It does look mighty good sitting next to my Carousel AVG P-40 and my HM Buffalos.
