| Should C1 Consider New Schemes For Its Planes? In view of the apparent interest in "usual suspects" redos in 1:48th scale, I wonder whether collectors would support C1 with their wallets if it put out two or three new liveries of each of its FW-190D, P-40B, BF-109E4 and F4F models? I know that I would give this serious consideration if the schemes were right, And I don't really care if no stands are supplied. I realize that price is an issue for some collectors, but even if C1 can't reduce its cost to the consumer, giving us more liveries from these generally fine molds is an interesting option. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Should C1 Consider New Schemes For Its Planes? I would certainly buy a P40 in a prewar livery! If the Dora was done in another scheme(hang a BOMB under that baby,or that late drop-tank!) I would just have to add it to my schwarm. Quite important to me,I would also buy any and all new schemes offered on Franks beautiful Fokker Dr1 ... Success on these may help stimulate new liveries on our P36 as well?? | |||||||||||||

| Re: Should C1 Consider New Schemes For Its Planes? A P40 with bare aluminium livery would be perfect to display with the 2 pearl harbor p36 coming up. I would also like new liveries for their Fw190, nieuport 17 (silver one , please), and fokker. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Should C1 Consider New Schemes For Its Planes? The Wildcat is a dash 3 so it is basically limited to: #1. a pre-war "Shields" type w/ yellow wings and silver fuselage (pick your carrier and tail color though!); #2. a light overall grey prewar type with minimal markings, and #3. a Feb-April 1942 type with very large FAI stars and the thirteen red/white bars on the tail. After May of 1942 this type was quickly replaced with the F4F-4, (Franklin Mint's mold with the different engine, gun arrangement and wing folds). I could go for another #1 and a #3 as well. Ara, I don't own it, but my understanding is C1 did tool for the -4. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe the Foss release (6181) is a -4, not just in name, but correctly tooled for this variant. If so, there should be many more livery options available to do. | ||||||||||||||

That would be great news, I didn't know that. It's an all-new wing and cowling, so it is a significant reworking. FM did it with the P-47 Razorback, though (kind of... )

I know MD has one (Foss) and I am sure there are several others out there that have one. I swear I remember reading somewhere that the wing was correctly tooled for the -4 variant. Please chime in, boys. Is the wing and cowling correct for an -4 variant? I need to know because I have this one on my wish list (its been on there for a long time now!)
