P-36 Hawk

Good morning all. Well, Friday the 13th can't be all bad. I see on Aiken's site that the P-36 (three versions) are ready for pre-ordering. Open your wallets.

Have all three on preorder and looking forward to their release. Finally able to have a diecast version of this model to replace the plastic 1/72nd one I have.

Re: P-36 Hawk

A welcome cool breeze in the dregs of summer! The photo on Aikins site looks better than the prerelease shots at Apollo. I see an antiglare panel now. Couple this with the HM USMC Buffalo release and August should make me a very happy camper!

They photo of the first P-36 on the Aikens site is actually of a smaller 1/72nd plastic P-36 model. I picked one of those 1/72nd models awhile back.

Speaking of P-36s, I see where Osprey is planning an Aircraft of the Aces - P-36 Hawk Aces of World War 2 for a February 2009 release.
