Re: Got my 1st Carousel 1

Just put in my order for my second, third and fourth Carousel 1 models. Their P-36s look just to good to pass up on.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.

Re: Got my 1st Carousel 1

As the proud owner of 5 C1 bi-planes I can honestly say they are superior to any bi-planes yet made in 1/48. That said, the non-Flyboy's planes provide a few more details not found on those movie planes. Rigging is the big one. The pilots are a tad large but I fixed that easily by replacing mine with better ones. I also have some of them displayed without pilots and honestly they look better. The pictures JP took are good but one cannot fully appreciate the subtle details and rich colorations and texture unless they actually have one of these models within reach of their person. I really think they are small masterpieces. The Flyboys planes are C1 and are well worth the price you pay for them. I would not hesitate to jump on one for such a good price. These will be big bucks one day if not just because they were from a movie. It's like if some company had produced models at the time of Howard Hughes' movie "Hell's Angels". Give it a few more years......................

C1 is back and I'm glad.
