C1 P-36 in 2008!

Perhaps someone has already posted regarding this, if so I apologize, but I saw on the Appollo Inc./Carousel One web site that a 1/48 Curtis P-36 (3 versions, all USAAF pre-war/Pearl Harbor) is announced for release on or about 15 August 08. They are even available for pre-ordering.

This is really fantastic news, but I do hope in the future they do some of the Hawk-75 variants (with foreign markings).

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

That would be cool FVD. If I could get the Pearl Harbor version (and another Welch P-40) I would be a very happy camper.

You can count me in for at least one, maybe two.

I can take umbrage, I can take the cake, I can take the A-Train, I can take two and call me in the morning, but I cannot take this sitting down. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take five.

Thumbs up Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

GEEEEEHAAWWWW!!! Not only a great subject that ties in perfectly with their P40/Pearl Harbor A/C, but cool liveries and a mould that could see many more schemes in future releases. Esp. sweet beside an H.M. Buffalo as well. The GREATEST news ,however,is the re-emergence of Carousel One as a player in the die-cast A/C field. I never doubted Franks return to activity, but I an not gifted with much patience, so NOW is definitely the time!!!

Fantastic! Can't wait to see some pictures of these new models, and definitely will pick up a couple. Hope the consider making one in French and Finish livery.

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

Great news!

Good to see Carousel back in the ball game, even on a limited basis. I will certainly buy the Pearl Harbor P-36 as well as a French and Finnish version if such are brought to market.

I hope that my fellow collectors will do their best---within reasonable bounds and budgetary restraints---to support C1 in its latest effort, thereby stimulating future new mold development by this quality-conscious company.
