I would imagine that it will come silver painted given the experiences we've had with chrome models.

Maybe they will get lucky i do it the way Speccast did theirs...This P-40 they did back in 1999 shows no signs of any problems..Unlike Corgi's..
This P-40 is sweet too.

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

I'll be going with the Pearl Harbor unit as my first purchase, it jives prefectly with my sub-collection of early PTO aircraft that I want to do. I WOULD like a scheme to also fit into my early CBI grouping as well, but that can be later.Off topic, but a Fokker DVII would make a great Christmas Surprise,Frank!!

Boy, I sure would love to see C1 do an early bare metal P-40. Seems to me we talked this up in another thread.

I'm thinking the Ken Walker P-36 might be the best livery to go alongside the new HM F3F and first issue F2A. I may also have to pick up the C1 pre-war F4F.

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

Of the 3 releases which one you guys like the best ?
JP

Boy... that's a tough question. The Rasmussen version is certainly the most historically important one. The Walker version is like eye candy. The Cleveland Air Races version is one I have wanted to model for eight years, but never got around to it. I can't pick. As long as there are no major problems or QC issues, I believe I will have them all. At the very least, I will have the Cleveland Air Races P-36C and one P-36A.

Cleveland Air Races is the one I am most looking forward too, have always like that particular paint scheme. Have all on preoder though, just like the P-36 in general. Hope they expand the line to include the Hawk 75 export variants.

Brewster Buffalo, Hawk 75A, Fokker D.XXI, Polikarpov I-16, Fiat G.50, Macchi C. 200, PZL P.11c, Fieseler Fi 156 Storch ,,,, now those are real planes.
