Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

Elmer, sorry I can't do pics, but the Bad Cat photos are quite accurate....I'm only 1 day away from C1 via std.UPS,so their stuff gets here quickly....also nice folks to deal with!

That's OK, roo. Glad you like the model. I look forward to getting one in my grubby paws soon!

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

I've certainly done enough whining about that cowling seam/join line, but today I have to
amend my opinion. UPS dropped off the first model today, and, I have to say, I think it looks
better than I expected. I still think that seam should have been placed in a less obvious place,
but, the seam isn't overly noticable, even with the light paint-job. I can tolerate it. Fit and finish
are really nice. Darker paint-jobs should hide that seam. So bring on a French or Finnish
model. However, I didn't get a decorative display base! (like I really care about those bases)

Any chance of posting some photos of your P-36?

CC... I have one on order, hopefully it will arrive in the next few days. If no other decent pictures appear before I get mine, I will post some pics. Glad to know you also like it, Larz. I had a feeling the cowling join line wouldn't appear in the flesh, as bad as some thought it might in the pics. If it helps, think of the join line as a panel line... a big panel line.

Great, I always like seeing photos that the forum members take of newly released models. As soon as I get the second of the series in, I will be doing the same.

Re: C1 P-36 in 2008!

I am curious as to whether the second Cleveland Air Races P-36 will be sporting a machine gun in each wing.

From the small pictures on C1's web-site, the underwing cartridge boxes are there. Can't see any reason why the guns wouldn't be also.
