| Re: Pics: C1 Wubke Dora
No need... . I can see how my post may have been misinterpreted. Yes, I acquired "Hofmann's" D-11 when it first came out. Then I acquired Gotz's D-13 when it came out. I later decided to complete the "trifecta" as vagm put it and picked up the D-9. Although beloved, the D-9 is a bit less so than the other two... that's why I stated I would start there and see how I like the results.

You got us all, Parsig! Pappy probably confused Dragon's Wubke with C1's Hofmann. I had both models at one time and I didn't even stop to think about the title of this thread. I sold Wubke after I got Hofmann!

| Re: Pics: C1 Wubke Dora The Doras,I discovered, are much like certain substances I enjoyed many years ago....face up to the Jones'n,buy all three and relax in the glow!!!! On the Pitot tube question,I pulled mine out, trimmed off the first tiny bit,and just stuck 'em back in. Now they are straight. The way I like to handle my A/C and the fact that they are openly displayed is asking for a breakage issue. I'm too much of a little kid to just put them in a case and admire them,I'm in a sort of a childhood gratification mode right now!! If you want to do the Pitot tube#,which I did size up,use the same .032 tubing and fit a piece of .016 rod inside it and trim to length. It is a tighter fit than the 20mms so I guess just be extra careful with the super glue or use Elmers or another benign stick-um . handling my gems did result in a crash of MvRs Red Tripe last year which was repairable except I couldn't redo the undercarriage rigging.Sort of thing that would have had me in tears, and calling for my Grandfather to fix many years ago. | |||||||||||||
