Talk about COLOR ! I didn't realize just how eye catching that scheme was. One would not need any lighting to show off this baby....

Check out this thread:

Grumman F4F-3 Wildcat "Shields"

I'm not sure this has ever been mentioned in a thread: the C1 Wildcat has really cool detail in the gear well... look toward the engine block, the firewall is awesome.

Right ,Elmer! I've got Butch O'Hares' ride, and the A/C,I feel, has been under recognized. Frank@ C1 did a heck of a fine job on it. The Shields version is too loud for me,however. Sort of reminds me of Neal Cassadys "39 International bus,"Further"

Hey Tyler! Just be glad you didn't get into CMC's vintage Grand Prix cars! Last one I got was delivered by UPS with a door gunner to protect it.........$242.00 U.S.D. for a superb Type 35 Bugatti. Needless to say, until something really wonderful happens to our "currency",I'll concentrate on 1:48 A/C.

Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

Two more C1 birds have landed, bringing the count up to 11. Got the Goetz Dora 13 and the Welch P40 to round out my groupings. I did have to return the Welch P40 for exchange due to a super glue? smear, but Amy handled the swap well and without question, the replacement A/C was up to C1s usual high standards. Now,a 5week holding pattern till the P36 taxis in...........

Boyington P-40 just arrived, so I now have 3 counting my 2 Dora's. Carousel has got to get back to making WW II fighters, they are fantastic.

Thumbs up Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

I don't have any Carousel 1 planes yet. I'll eventually get the P-36 though.

Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

One more than before.....My Udet Fokker Triplane came from Glen at Racers Den a few days ago, well packed, safe and sound. It's been said before, but...I've had this aircraft sitting on my work computer since it arrived, so I can look at it on and off throughout the day. It is absolutely wonderful, a piece of art.....it's just beautiful. They are expensive (though not as much so from Racers Den), but really worth every penny. I cannot say enough about this aircraft! And, I especially LOVE the livery on this one, with the black and white stripes on the upper wing, and later half of the fuselage, with the red LOon the fuselage. HIGHLY RECOMENDED!

How right you are,Cap'n. folks who don't have one of these jewels (any or all of the three) are depriving themselves.
