Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

Do you collect 1:48?

Not as my primary scale, but I do have a couple of Eagles Internationals and the new Hobby Master Spits and Buffalo's. It sounds like the Carousel models are nice however.

What can we do to tempt you??? Do you like WWI or WWII or both?

Do you collect Luftwaffe? If so, have you visited this thread lately: Focke-Wulf Fw190D-11 "Red 4"

I also have EI's models, and HM's Spit and Buffalos. I like them all... and my C1 models are second to none. If you keep your eyes open, you will find good deals on C1's stuff... but I believe they are a bargain at retail.

Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

Question

I was going to buy the planes they did for the movie Flyboys, but I keep holding off because it looks like they skimped on em and at 44.00 each I dont know why they skimped? No rigging, unlike Corgis new WWI birds which do have full good looking rigging and for less money, whats the opinion of the Flyboys planes and the lack of detail or do they actually have good detail and you cant tell it in the pics ??? I also wondered if these movie based planes are actual planes or are they fantasy markings and colors ?

Thanks for any info, Biggie

I do not have a flyboys model, so anyone who does... correct me if I am wrong. I believe the only detail lacking is the rigging. Also, I believe the models are fictional liveries.

They liveries are definitely fictional, which has kept me from buying them.

Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

Because actual numbers are better to use in some form of comparison. Basing anything on assumptions is weak at best and may not provide and accurate answer to the question being asked.

Zero is not a number per se and as a point of reference in this particular context contributes little to establishing validity within the context of the original (research) question ...

Re: How many Carousel 1 planes do you own?

Just one for me - Red 4. I had no intention getting any 1/48 scale birds however who can resist the Hobbymaster Griffon powered Spits & Buffalo's ?

Well for starters, not me I needed some 'opposition' for my Spits & if I was only going to have one C1 then Red 4 was going to be it. Just wish they were a bit cheaper but what the hell

Take it out and play with it

I also fall into the "none" category. From all the C1 models, which you would you suggest buying?

Thanks

Has to be either the 190D-11 or the 190D-13. These are mighty impressive display pieces.
