Jim, I believe the C1 "Killer" Caldwell P-40B displays nicely side-by-side with GMP's 1/35th RAF P-40...don't ya agree?

I certainly do agree Fly.

I thought you would step in Cardinal, no I have not forgotten the 190Ds, these are fine diecast models .

Carousel P40B/C for my money are the better of the two types, but only by a small margin.

I may be slightly biased !

My favourite is Pappy Boyingtons plane, it is a superb model , Flying Tigers every time

Its terrible , one should not have favourites,

Cardinal, dont you wish that Carousel would add a few twiddly bits like flaps and stuff?
Maybe a stand, I just think that 1/48 scale could have some working features,,,,,,,,, not that I am complaining you understand,

God Bless America.

Boyington's P-40 is ok to have....Fw190 are great if not the best in 1:48....
Now i'm in the middle of trying to get all the Fokker Dr.1's...all i need now is Udet's.

I'm actually happy that C1 don't add 'twiddly bits' like flaps but I would have to agree that a high quality metal stand is long overdue ...

Bad luck Starman, there was one on the Bay about a week ago - but I got it! Unfortunately that's been impounded by the Dutch Customs agency, and it'll probably be ages (and a big fine) before I get it There was another one on offer in Germany a while ago, but that would probably be far too expensive for you (C1's are very difficult to get in Europe, and therefore are even more expensive).

I'll keep an eye out for you: chances are that if I like the Udet one (which I'm bound to) I'll be tempted to add some more, so I'll still be on the lookout for any new C1 ads. Of course, if you do manage to get them all, you'll have to post some nice pictures of the three together - that'll look great!

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

O.K.,couldn't wait any longer for the new release announcements from Frank, just had to have another C1 "fix" to keep me sane? Received the Barkhorn Dora and the O'Hare F4F today, this is my first of the Doras and now I understand the raves, just a superb item! The F4F is great as well, but the Dora left my critical eyes very satisfied, now I have to save for the other Doras as well!!! Figure a never ending story here. Can you imagine what Frank could do with a late Bf 109 series? F,G,K? and a thousand cool schemes? Very Happy Collector....Mike
