Re: How many C1's in your collection?

Well, Texas is a big state, so I guess you have plenty of space down there to store / display diecasts
I any case, I am impressed. Way to go, Markko !

Well, thank you Saeta, and also FVD and Armour Addict for the positive comments on my collection. Sometime, some way, in the future I hope to get everything straightened up around here to be in a position to take digital photos of an organized(reorganized?) collection with unobstructed views worthy of posting on this site. ------Happy collecting, markko

Cool display AA. Where did you get that 1/48 scale Kettenrad? And the standing figure?

You just need some more-realistic-looking "grass" on that base, and it will be perfect...

FVD

Well I'll second FVD's opinion----what a nice tratment to enhance one of the finest examples of 1/48 diecast modelling that has been produced---good job, AA. Happy collecting, markko

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

I have two C1s on the way, the Messerschmitt Bf 109 E "Emil" and Focke-Wulf Fw 190D "Dora - 11"

After all the positive vibes I got here I just have to see for myself.

Can we try with real bullets now?

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

After receiving the three Fokker Triplanes i purchased the two Nieuport II planes which gives now a total of eight C 1 planes in my collection (And they are the best models in my whole collection).

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

It has now been 9 months, going on 10 since a C1 model airplane release. It has been over a year since a new C1 airplane mold hit the market. I wouldn't have guessed this 10 months ago. I grow increasingly despondent that C1's aircraft line will bite the dust. I sure wish a company official, or insider, would follow this forum and give us hope to look forward to the future in regards to C1's model aircraft line.

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

I just added 9 and 10: von Richthofen's and Voss's Fokkers. Now I have all three non-flyboy Fokkers. I can't say enough about these Fokkers. They are spectacular... each giving my three Doras a run for their money as favorites in my collection. The rigging, engine, propeller and guns are stunningly detailed, fit and finish are top notch, the models are nearly flawless.

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

That's great news Elmer, if C1 release some more you'll have your very own Jasta 11! Well, thanks to everyone's championing of C1, and the biplanes in particular, I've also taken the plunge. Baracca and Udet are en route, and I can't wait to see them in the metal. I do fear I've just set out on yet another collection, though. After all, they'll be swamped and lonely in my WWII collection, so I'm already toying with the idea of adding some more - the Corgi SPAD seems like a prime candidate.

I can't say how happy I am to see Carousel 1's sensible approach to this business - keep the releases down, don't flood the market with too many schemes at the same time, and keep in touch with the people buying it. Long may it continue!
