Re: How many C1's in your collection?

I have eight C1's in my collection and find them all to little masterpieces. Are they overpriced...probably, but what isn't. I suspect that the lack of new molds is more likely that they are having the same meetings that GMP had around christmas. If we are lucky, we might see one or two more sigle engined tail draggers like an Allison engined mustang or F8F Bearcat but I don't suspect they will be making diecast airplanes very much longer

I agree, tater7, a Bearcat and an Allison engined Mustang would be a great choice for C1 to do! Maybe HM will beat them to it though.

Only one for me, Fw-190D Red 4. I don't have the space or budget to break into 1/48 in a serious way but I had heard great things about C! & their 190's.

Not disappointed at all - the model looks great alongside my Hobbymaster JEJ Spit but C1 a bit too pricey for my liking when taking shipping to NZ into consideration and as I mentioned - space is the final frontier!!

That would be bold and ballsy, just like the real plane. I love the early Mustangs.

11SqnLdr, for me it is the same : lack of space is what limits my collection. I only want to have one or at most two models of each plane, and sometimes to display a new addition I have to pack an existing model.

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

This is great, nice to see another collector who appreciates 1/48 to the fullest. If you have time, one of these days, please post pictures. Looks like you have an awesome collection. Lots of similarities to mine, except I don't have quite that many FM/As (and no airliners), but more 1/72 Corgis (jets and WWII, including the large bombers) and others (a few HMs, Dragons, Wittys, CW, IXOs, etc...). Also have some GMPs.

Were you/are you an airline pilot, or did you mean you flew on these planes as a passenger?

Cheers!

FVD

As a passenger -----Happy collecting, markko

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

Yes, that is correct. I have 261 Armour Collection 1/48's, 9 Carousel, 20 SpecCast( corsairs, P-40's, and Sabre's ), 3 Model Power WW1, and every EI Mustang and AT-6 released to date. Oop's, almost forgot---I also have 9 Marushin 1/48 Japanese aircraft. In addition to the 1/48's, I have 7 Corgi 1/32's and approx. 20 Corgi 1/72 models( mostly British jets, including all of the EE Lightnings--8 or 9 I think-- produced by Corgi). Also have some 1/400 airliners; mostly examples of types of aircraft that I have flown on, in the livery of the airline in which I flew. ---Happy collecting, markko

Well, Texas is a big state, so I guess you have plenty of space down there to store / display diecasts
I any case, I am impressed. Way to go, Markko !

Cool display AA. Where did you get that 1/48 scale Kettenrad? And the standing figure?

You just need some more-realistic-looking "grass" on that base, and it will be perfect...

Thanks FVD!

I got it off ebay (as most of my stuff). It's from a Tamiya kit. The coloring is more like desert tan but I don't care.

The standing figure is from the Eduard "Luftwaffe Personell" kit.

Yeah, I know. I thought about switching the grass of the C1 base with printed concrete plates. Maybe sometime this week.
