Re: How many C1's in your collection?

Does anyone have information on what C1 has in the works for 2008?

I watch C1's web-page regularly (at least weekly, if not daily). Nothing has yet been announced for 2008 (2007 releases are still posted on their "What's New?" page). I scour the net for news and information about new C1 releases. Nothing out there at the moment. Concerning aviation models, C1 appears to be in a "holding pattern."

Re: How many C1's in your collection?

I love C-1s. I have 9:

Fw-190D-9/11/13
P-40 Caldwell and Boyington
F-4F O'Hare
Me-109 Schroer
Dr.1 Voss
Nieuport 11 Baracca

Might get more (such as Udet Dr.1). I hope they do release new moulds, or at least new liveries, in 2008.

I own 6 of them, 3 109s and 3 190s. Well made models in my opinion.

Keep'em flying.

I spoke w/Richard at OMI and he said that one of the reasons C1 hasn't announced anything is that they are looking for a new factory in China, because apparently, they weren't happy with the one they were using.. Hopefully, they will get their manufacturing problems sorted and get us more planes/ repaints at the least....

Interesting... given C1's topnotch finish, quality control, and assembly, I would have guessed they had the best factory in China painting the models, and assembling them. Of the 8 C1 models I have, not one, nada, zilcheroo, have a single QC issue I can find (other than those damned occasional wonky rubber bits). I can't say that about any other company, including EI, HM, CW, Corgi, etc.

I would guess that there may not have been QC issues, but maybe cost issues???
I agree that my C1s are some of the best and none have any QC issues that I can see, but we can speculate all day as to why C1 is changing things.. Also, it could just be a story to justify their delay in producing anything new..

Here here! My C1 models are the finest pieces of diecast artwork I've ever owned. I have no niggles, gripes, nada.......

They are the nearest thing to perfect. I have 2 and soon will have a Nieuport and another Fokker.

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!

I own the following, and love 'em all; AVG P40,Cassidys Nieuport(Flyboys) Voss,Udet, and MvR's Triplanes, two times on the MvR model, one in flight and one on the ground.NEXT....O'Hare's F4F,another P40,MAYBE the 3 Doras in the future, kind of depends on what/when C1 announces for 08. Mike
