Re: Udet Fokker photos

Nice pics.

Carousel 1 also has a Udet Bf 109E, in all red. Looks nice, would display nice next to the Fokker.

I have that, the D13 and the Baracca Nieuport on my list and would like to get one of them while they're still on sale.

Not sure which one first but that red 109 sure stands out historically. Can you imagine being at that demo flight and seeing that knowing what impact it would have.

I do alot of that back to the future kind of thinking as a history teacher....kinda fun to think about. Final Countdownesque. Now where is that Delorean?

Don't forget the targets are my airfields, Leigh-Mallory, and you're not getting fifty, you're not even getting ten.

Yes Parsig9, I would have loved to been at that 1937 flyby! And Willy M had to take months of Udet telling him that a proper fighter had to have an open cockpit (no enclosed canopy so that one may properly judge the wind).

Reminds me of the biplane vs. monoplane argument I once read about, where the biplane afficionado huffed, "Well, where will all the wires go? (if you just have one wing)."

Exactly
