Frankie says," Relax".

Louie,, have you ever asked Frankie about dropping the plastic diorama and giving us stands? If so what did he say? And if you haven't will you be planning to ask him?

Spring is such a nice time for diecast too.

You're right, CC. Besides, Spring '09 would be better than nuthin'.

Re: So, what's next for Carousel 1?

Patience is a bad word today,I want it all and I want it now!!! Of course,I waited 15 yrs for Tamiya to do their RC 1:16 Tiger I, I've waited up to 2yrs for announced books to be finally printed, and I've waited over a year for my favorite die cast car maker,(CMC) to finally produce some "must have" Grand Prix cars for my collection. Frank Dalton and I have e-mailed one another, and I feel he is quite sincere, and why announce prematurely to not only alert his competition but to disappiont us with an unduly long wait for specific "gimmes"? I'm as anxious as anyone, but I know I will not be disappointed when I open the box on a Carousel1 A/C !! Mike

I agree with Dchage, we need YAK's, Avenger torpedo bomber and a ju-88 to fill in the 1/48 Fm and Carousel stock.

Then you might as well thrown in a Lavochkin La-5, LaGG-3, Polikarpov I-16, and I-153 too.

I agree. Premature announcements are not wise. I think we were all hoping that C1 would be "ready" to announce at least one new a/c mold, or at the very least, new liveries of existing molds to be released within the next few months.

We can all see trends in this hobby... and it appears that the C1 trend toward nothing new (going on one year now), does not bode well, and concerns collectors of this line. Also, the abundant available stock all over the web causes some concern. I would love to see several models "sold out." (At least the models are not going for outrageously low prices like the GMP models did before that line went defunt.) C1 fans may agree that, for the most part, we will not be disappointed when we open the box of a new mold or livery of existing mold... the question is, will there be anything new to not be disappointed for? Or, will the disappointment come with nothing new to open? For me, it is the not knowing if the line is going defunct that causes the concern. I can get over the disappointment, its the not knowing that causes the angst.

If C1 can't move 3600 P-40s or Fw 190s, (for example) how are they going to sell the above?

Ah, but that is just my wish list. But if they can't move the P-40s and Fw 190s as you say, what would move, hopefully not more of the same. Another issue to consider is there asking price, could that possibly have something to do with abundant stock? If models sit on the shelf at the store, well there usually is a reason for it. Maybe if they did look out of the box and make something a little different it might move, or sit on the store shelves with the P-40s and Fw 190s already there. So looking for any of these to sell out soon might be a bit of wishful thinking too. As far as giving a little heads up for things to come, I liked to hear what may be coming down the pipe. I am patient, and like to have something to look forward too with a little anticipation.

Makes me wonder if Carousel didn't get nixed by HM in making the Spitfire or something like that and that is why they are so hush-hush regarding anything.. I'd hate to see C1 back out of the A/C market, but such a move might open the market more for someone like Eagles Intl. to continue on..

Re: So, what's next for Carousel 1?

This is getting to be a scary time for the 1:48 collector....
I really don't want to see FM and HM be the only ones making 1:48's.
