Re: Carousel 1 needs its own section

An Albatross and/or Pfalz would be very cool. SPAD's and SE5A's too! Also maybe a two seater, DH-4, or one of the German recce/bombers.
A Sopwith Camel is an obvious choice also though I would rather see a Sopwith 1-1/2 Strutter or a Pup.
And then the madness took him... How about a Gotha??? It would cost ya a paycheck but I want it!
I wonder how these WW I subjects are selling for them?

I hope they are doing well enough to continue. Far too few quality WW I models available.

Yeah I am dreaming out loud. I did build that Aurora kit years ago. 48th scale and still a good kit... All that rigging though, Oi!

Re: Carousel 1 needs its own section

I pre-ordered the whole Flyboys Movie Set.
I don't have many WWI Fighters so i thought it be cool.
JP

Did you get a deal , or I guess I should ask which vendor and was it a good deal for the set, I was just getting ready to order these off my regular vendor, but I was only going to get 3 at $41.50 each, seems like a fair price for these to me.

He is only offering pre-orders for the Flyboys models at $42.50 each.
I think he has the others availble for special order for $59.75 + shipping.

Not sure but can ask on Monday.

Re: Carousel 1 needs its own section

Yes and that one too.
Even a Spad of Eddie Rickenbacker of the 94th Aero would be good too.
Albert Ball's SE5A would be good too.
There are a few other aces as well.
JP

I assume you are aware that Matchbox made a VERY nice Rickenbacker Spad. No rigging, of course, but very nicely done, great paint job, etc. Of course, I do not know if any retailers have them anymore, but I bet Ebay does/will.

And regarding JC Woodman's list: I like your style!

Flying Mule still has both the Rickenbacker and Luke SPADs in stock.
