Louie, if you should happen to ever chat with Frank again suggest that on the next WWII model that they not offer the landing gear up option. By eliminating this they should be able to offer their planes at a lower cost.

Better yet, keep the gear up option, eliminate the stoopid plastic "diorama" base and give us a display stand....

Agreed!

I have a good sized collection of Carousel 1 birds, but display none of the bases. Some of them are OK. However, they take up too much space for a single 1:48 scale plane. A stand would be an improvement, not only in terms of being able to display the birds in flight but also to make maximum use of limited display space.

I'm in agreement with Skunky and KG_Jag - definitely keep the 'gear-up' option, provide a stand and do away with the display base .

And I'm in agreement with Skunky, KG_Jag, and Cardo! Give us display stands.

Boy SKUNKY,,,, your dead on right there. I forgot all about that diorama plastic piece. Get rid of that and give us a stand. If still no stand then Louie, tell him to drop the gear up and diorama and lower the price even more.

Nothing against the bases but given a choice, it would be a stand every time.

Re: A Chat With The President Of Carousel 1

Louie,
Did he say anything about their manufacturing company? The last time I spoke with Mark he said the the reason that Carousel had gone quiet was because they were having troubles with their manufacturing and had gone through two manufacturers already and were currently looking for another. Evidently, there is a lot of that going around.
