| Pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 Here is the pictures of the new release of the Fokker Dr.1 of Werner Voss's tri-plane. I like it alot....I wish the camo streaking was a little better...But that alone is a hard thing to do with a diecast. Since the real Dr.1 streaking was done by hand back in 1918. Carousel did a good job on this one. I really like the way they did the engine & propeller. I did this photo shot real quick i didn't even get the chance to dust it off first....sorry....I did this at work. Now a little bit about the story of Werner Voss..This is the card that came with it.. ![]() JP ![]() ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 Very nice...though I'm not sure about that streaking pain job either. From what I've seen in pictures, the individual streaks should be longer, and not on the diagonal, though this observations is from pics of Dr I's in general, not Voss's machine. And, though I like their WW I offerings a lot, for what they charge, it seems they should have the control lines for the wings also. | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 Here is a little better detail pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1. Control lines on a 1:48 diecast something no other company has done yet for a WWI fighter in 1:48. Carousel's Red Baron is the 1st Fokker Dr.1 to have it..Look real close at the machine guns...Great detail work right there. They even put a little windsheild on it like some Dr.1's had. You can see the camo streaks does look a little like fabric. This is a first for Carousel i think they will get better in time with the streaks...Not a easy task at all. One thing i did like about it was the German Iron Cross with the white block you can see through the white a little and see the streaks ...Which by the way is how it really look on a Dr.1. This little Fokker Dr1 has alot of great detail for a WWI fighter. Enjoy. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 Very, very nice model indeed. I wish they were a little cheaper, though. But right now I'm thinking, I'm thinking... The pictures posted on this forum have done a lot of damage to my wallet already! FVD | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Pictures of the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 Awesome pics JP!!! Thanks a bunch!! These pictures are the best I've seen of C1's Fokker, and I like what I see! You did a good job of capturing the detail--I think I will give way and pick one up! By the way, are the tires rubber? And do they roll? How about the spin feature on the prop -- stiff or free spinning? | ||||||||||||||
