| Custom Stand for 7143 Focke-Wulf Fw 190D "Dora-13" Here is the same stand i used on my Galland 109... on a Fw-190D it works just as great. You will have to drill out the hole a little where the rubber plug goes in i got a real nice tight fit and the stand worked great. This is a great way to use a stand on this Fw190 because the hole can always be covered back up with that rubber plug. Now all i need to do is paint by stand flat black. | Re: Custom Stand for 7143 Focke-Wulf Fw 190D "Dora-13" JP... that is awesome!! Thanks for sharing. How deep did you have to drill, and how difficult was it? I was thinking of trimming down the rubber plug on the stand rather than drilling out the hole on the model. I also thought of cutting one of the long screws that secured the model in the box, making a small hole in the plug of the stand, securing the long screw into the plug with some super glue, and then inserting the screw back into its original threads (for additional support and strength). | |||||||||||||

I wasn't to bad..All i did was go as far as i needed to. Your never going to use that hole anyway unless you sale it down the road. There are two ways to do it one make your hole the same size as the peg on the stand and not use the black plug. The peg on the stand is a little bigger than the hole in the plane so you will have to drill it no matter which way you go. I wanted the black plug on mine and as you see it worked out great. Also i used extra stands i had from my B-25's. JP | ||||||||||||||

| Re: Custom Stand for 7143 Focke-Wulf Fw 190D "Dora-13" Well... your photo of this plane on its little stand has made me reconsider Yellow 10. The black camo came through a lot better in your photos. Looks really cool. | |||||||||||||

| Re: Custom Stand for 7143 Focke-Wulf Fw 190D "Dora-13" Neat stand, JP....thanks for the tip. Yellow 10 is my favorite so far. Hopefully, Carousel is viewing this thread and should spark some ideas for them to accomodate future stand options on their outstanding products. | |||||||||||||

| Where can I find some more Corgi AA stands? Hi guys, does anyone know if there are some Corgi AA stands sold online seperately somewhere in cyberspace that I can get a hold of some? I am going to display rest of my Carousel 1 warbirds (in flight mode) using Starman's brilliant idea, and I like the fact that the Corgi stands are well suited for just such an opportunity. Thanks for any tip! | |||||||||||||
