Kzin, welcome to the forum. I have to agree with Captain Eddie, fantastic shot of the Dora in your first post.

First-time poster, thought I'd report that Yellow 10 looks great at Paul Allen's "Flying Heritage Collection".

Just visited the museum/collection for the first time on Saturday, really a great spot for anyone who liked warbirds. Missed the P-51 and P-47 flying 2 weeks ago, but saw their Spitfire Mk. V and Storch go up on Saturday. Great, simple museum layout. Opens at 10, I got there just after the door opened, not too crowded but progressively more people until they open the big hangar doors at noon, have a little intro to the pilots flying that day, then fire up the planes and taxi them out to the Paine Field runway while you go around to a viewing area where they do flybys.

Gallery from visit here: FLYING HERITAGE GALLERY

Welcome to the forum, Kzin...and thanks for the link to the gallery. I may have to plan a visit to that museum someday.

The D-13 is nice, you will not be disappointed. Can't speak for the He 111.

Thanks Ben, the feedback in this post is very compelling. You own a D-13? how's the sit of the landing gear, does it look convincing to you-- the Fw's had a unique sit to their gear.

Black6 has the He 111 torpedo bomber and calls it "magnificent", I trust his judgement. My 1/48 Luftwaffe contigent really needs a bolster at this point. I have 2 Ju 52's, a tank busting Stuka I want to part with, and a 109G that just makes the grade. Next on the list is a 109E, probably the C1 Battle of Britain issue.

Thanks Elmer. You know, these threads really make great reads. Hearing all my friends piping in on the enthusiasm is encouraging. Your comments Elmer really sealed the deal.

I've got the D-13. The landing gear sits right in my opinion and looks good. I snapped these pics quickly, so if they're grainy forgive me. They show the landing gear from a straight on angle and side view. Hope they help.
