Funny... because your comments about Ina caused me to look closer at it for purchase! I haven't done it yet, but is sure looks sweet!

As they have different shaped canopies you have a good reason to add 'Ina' to your collection - also, the livery is great as well as the history .

I received it today and I guess I'm still hurting from my jaw hitting the floor (doctor says I'll be OK, though) .

This is definitely going to be one of my prized possessions in the collection. It also confirms me in my opinion that 1/48 is the way to go for WW II fighters.

You can't go wrong having that "Dora13" in your collection that's for sure.
It's one of my favorite German fighters i have.

Cardinal has expressed similar sentiments about 1:48, and I tend to agree with you both; the two C1 Doras I have are prized in my model collection, as well as my EI Mustangs and C1 AVG Warhawk. I just can't get excited anymore about my Dragon Dora! However, 1:48 WWII fighters are coming out at a sloooowwww trickle (not to include FM). What is one to do??

I wouldn't say that 1/48 is "exclusively" the way to go in fighters, but to have some prime examples in 1/48 to accentuate the variety in the 1/72 line is my objective..

If it weren't for IXO, I don't think the variety of various types (in WW II fighters) would be that much greater in 1/72 as in 1/48 (we do need a 1/48 TBM, though). True enough, the variety of liveries is quite a bit larger in the smaller scale.

This explains why most of my 1/72 WW II fighters are IXO stuff, even though the quality is not top-notch (just adequate). They make types just not available otherwise.

In modern fighters, it's no contest thanks to Corgi, Dragon, Witty, Gaincorp, plus HM coming on strong, etc... We'll see how things evolve...

Y'all are making it increasingly difficult to NOT spring for this model. I'm trying really hard you know to demonstrate SOME restraint. I will not cave... I will not cave...
