Carousel P-40 stand

Thanks to our good friend on this site, Black 6, I am the proud new owner of a 1:48 Welch Pearl Harbor P-40. While I truly love this airplane, I am a little dumbfounded as to why Carousel would offer a wheels up option, yet provide no stand.

Does anyone here have a good idea as to how to display this in an in-flight option?

ie. Has anyone found a good option/alternative for a stand?

Thanks.

Re: Carousel P-40 stand

Skydiver,
I have used a Corgi stand for my Fw190 & Me 109's and it works great.
Never tried it with a P-40 yet.
See links.

Re: Carousel P-40 stand

They actually thought we'd hang 'em from the ceiling....

The Marushin stands work well as a generic stand for just about all 1:48 scale fighters. You can get them at Aikens or on ebay from Hobby Japan... they ain't cheap though.

Pappy's right. $35.80 for a stand on ebay which includes shipping, and $35.00 plus shipping on Aikens. No way in hell I am spending $35.00+ on a stand. I guess I will look at what I have around the house and see if I can make something work.

Re: Carousel P-40 stand

Great stand, Skunky, why didn't I think of that. I happen to have four of those in my basement, being TOTALLY under untilized just holding up some dumb ol' work benches!
