No joking here. I talked to the head guy at Carousel1 about this over a year ago ( planes with retractable landing gear and no stand ) and you know what his reply was? And again I'm not joking.
He said a great way to display his planes with the gear up was to set them on top of a Wine Glass. I couldn't believe it. He was dead serious. He even said that they were looking into finding like a plastic wine glass that they could buy in quantity and sell as an accessory for those who want a stand.
I couldn't believe that a maker of such nice planes could have such a lame idea for a stand.

I would say that guy had seen the bottom of waaaay too many wine glasses
