| Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007 I saw that too. I hope the do the camo streaks the right way on both of the Fokker Dr.1's. I'll tell you right now i know for a fact that there will be many collectors that will not like the idea of a yellow cowl and wheels covers. This has been a debate going on for years about the cowl & wheel covers of Werner Voss's Dr.1. Some say they were both dark green and not yellow. JP | ||||||||||||||

It was probably one of the helpful lads from the Administration/Moderation Corps. We may not be handsome, but we can be handy!

I don't think they hold to the same schedule/MO of other aviation diecast companies since they are mostly auto centric. Their releases seem to pop out of the blue at odd times so we can dream at least.

| Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007 I'll let you know when i get mine on friday. You know they only made 600 of these Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1's. Very low number too. JP | ||||||||||||||

| Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007 Yeah, these are fine, but my comment is: I hope the diecast companies figure out soon that there were more than two types of planes in WW I (Dr 1 and Spad XIII). Sure, there's a Nieuport from C1 (expensive), but I guess that's it until Corgi releases the Albatros later this year (hopefully), along with the Se.5 (and yet another Spad XIII). But there is so much more to be made. Are they afraid they won't sell? I wonder... Personally, I can't get myself very exited about yet another livery for the Dr 1. FVD | ||||||||||||||

| Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007 I have a feeling they think it won't be a big seller...Carousel is trying it and i have not seen any sold outs on their WWI fighters as of yet. I think it may have to do with the price range really. I believe that the Werner Voss Fokker Dr.1 will sell out due to only 600 being made. Now Corgi getting into the WWI fighters is a good thing..Maybe thats what it takes for others to follow. I'm looking forward to the Albatros of MVR and S.E.5 (wish this release was Albert Ball's fighter) i hope to see them make others as well. How about the German WWI bombers like Gotha G.V. and the Zeppelin Staaken R.VI or the fighters Fokker Eindecker ,Pfalz fighters and Junkers D.I and on the British side you have Sopwith Camel , Pup , Dolphin , Snipe , 1.5 Strutter and Triplane and the Bristol Scout , Bristol Fighter and RAF F.E.2 , F.E.8 and S.E.5 i can go on and on with this. So yes it would be nice to see some of them made....But the real thing is will it sell like the WWII stuff does...Only time can tell. JP | ||||||||||||||
