Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007

Finally received today my three german Fokker Triplanes (Udet, Voss and Richthofen) and they are truly outstanding. They are in the same league as C1 FW 190 Doras. What a difference in quality when comparing to the Corgi WW 1 releases. Only look at the fantastic propellers and then to the Corgi ones. They are the best WW 1 models available. If they provided a display stand these were the perfect models.
Hopefully they will continue to make Fokker Triplanes ( Fokker D 7 please).

for these releases.

Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007

After receiving my 3 Fokker Triplanes the two Nieuports 11 from C 1 arrived today and again those are fantastic models. Really stunning these little babies (Cant find the right word at the moment ---> The Barracca plane is outstanding, one of the best diecasts ever).
Now i want the Nieuport 17 from Charles Nungesser (45 Victories).

Re: New Fokker Triplanes for 2007

I just got the Voss Dr.1 and the Baracca N 11 and they are outstanding models. I like the etched cooling jacket on the Dr.1 guns and the use of real wire for bracing and control cables on both models.

I look forward to more Carousel WW I releases and the upcoming Corgi efforts in this era.

Here's a photo of the Voss Dr.1. Check out the small clear windscreen between the guns, real wire bracing and nice looking prop.

I really like that nose art on Voss's cowl..You know the color of the cowl had be a issue with experts for years..Some say it was green or even black...

Yes, I knew that. Problem with the way the pigment worked in the black and white film the Germans used. But the REAL reason was explained by Calvin's dad (of Calvin and Hobbs). Color just hadn't been invented yet.
