You should do what I did, make a phone call and let them know what you think. For some reason they don't seem to think that stands are necessary.

I agree, Parsig. I have two Carousel 1 models with another on the way. I love the magnetic gear and rubber parts. It certainly saves the nerves a bit knowing they aren't going to snap off and repositioning is easy.

I delayed getting this for the D-13, but the more I looked at the pictures and the longer I waited for the D-13, the more I couldn't stand having this Dora. It came yesterday. Man o' man!! Am I ever glad I ordered it. It is a beauty. In fact, I believe it has the finest paint and decal work of any model I have ever owned; combine that with a fine mold, nice panel and rivet detail, beautiful cockpit detail, and landing gear that are easy to change and firmly hold the weight of the model... this one is a real bargain. Of all my 2006 purchases, this is the best. Grab one before they are gone!
