Re: Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9 "Barkhorn

Very, very purty . I'm sorely tempted to order one but must refrain considering the number of Corgi 1/32s that I've recently had to finance .

The D-11 isn't your typical D-9.. It has the outboard wing cannons and enlarged supercharger intake (looks really cool)
And, it is correct.. (unlike Dragons version)

DAng, didn't even notice the missing cannon on Dragon's till now -- ignorance is bliss, or rather was I suppose... I'll get the D-11 when it's out for sure.

The Dragons Dora is correct in that respect, because Red 4 was probably the only D-11 flown in the JV44 protection group.. The inaccuracy I was talking about lies wholly within the paint scheme, not the plane itself.. This is one reason I wouldn't buy that particular plane (Dragon)..

Do these have a 'gear up' option?

Apparently, they think we'll hang 'em from our ceilings -- yes, they really do...

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9 "Barkhorn

I need to put a plug in for this model. I received it over the week-end (along with the Shields Wildcat and Schroer 109) and I am mightily impressed. While the livery may not be as eye-popping as the D-11 and D-13, it is still no less worthy of acquisition; the finish is first rate--just like the other two. The gun blisters on the nose look AWESOME and the intake is different. I now have all three (the only C1 line in which I have all).

Re: Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9 "Barkhorn

Is the swastika on this plane pad-printed or a decal you must put on the plane?

Thumbs up Re: Focke-Wulf Fw190D-9 "Barkhorn

Very cool Fw 190s. I'll be looking to get one of these to go with the HM Spit.
