Johnny Lightning 1/24 scale

A few pics of Johnny Lightnings 1/24 scale Cars, A 1964 Thunderbolt and a 1970 Super Bird

What I like about these, They cost between $11.00 to $14.00 dollars depends where you get them, also they are pretty much all metal including the under carriage, a lot of cars the undercarriage is plastic and they cost more.

Re: Johnny Lightning 1/24 scale

Sharp looking models, I remember watching the Super Birds when they raced in NASCAR many years ago. (Made a neat looking stock car).

Re: Johnny Lightning 1/24 scale

IIRC, Johnny Lightning also made a Richard Petty's blue Plymouth's Superbird dubbed Dodge Daytona and raced it as well?

Re: Johnny Lightning 1/24 scale

The stick shift handle on the Super Bird reminds me of the days in High School Autoshop when guys use to use a Beer Taper and screw it in to use as a handle for the stick shift. It made for an awesome eyecatcher in the mo-dogs !
