| Re: Sun Star Morris Minor Couldn't view the pics ( some problem ), but I'll get back to it. The Morris Minor was one of the most common sights on UK roads in the 50s, 60s and well into the 70's. It was almost the equivalent of the Beetle, except that it didn't last as long. My old mate Sam bought one for £60 which had been owned by the original ' old lady ' who drove it to the shops and church. It was 12 years old, had 18,000 miles on the clock and still ran like a watch. Sam learned to drive on it, passed his test, then sold it for £55. Amazing what you could do for a fiver in those days! | |||||||||||||

dllgfcu - Couldn't help noticing guy, that you have my ALL TIME FAVORITE die-cast in the background (albeit, in one of the less attractive schemes). I've bought 4 x of 'em so far, & just can't get enough of 'em (Routemasters). B.T.W, W.T.F. is with Monsiuer 'Fat Controller' - YOU ON DRUGS OR WHAT ![]()

My next Sun Star purchase will be the upcoming 1939 RT AEC Regent

dllgfu, Have to agree about the Blue 'Vernon's Pools' - about as popular with Joe Public as a 'Preist at an Orgy'. I've got Two of the 'Greenline', one of the 'Red' (Lucozade) & I managed to pick up the other 'Silver' R.M. (Daily Express) for only £ 44 (s/h) on E-bay, although thankfully, it's as MINT as a new 'un. I'm VERY interested in this up-'n-comin' R.T. Regent, you've mentioned...... First I've heard of it - any pic's or Web-pages you can recommend ???? Back in the late- 'seventies (one night) Girlfriend & I were waiting for the late night No 62, only to find it PACKED with enthusiasts (bummer, long walk !). Turned out it was the last regular R.T. run in service, before retirement !!!!! (in our region of London).

When I was a kid in the 60's, used to ride the RM & RT's in London & the Lodeckers in sunny Luton.
