Wow! How long does it take you to do something like this? What tools do you use?

Re: Eastern Front dogfight...

Hi guys, and thanks! Sorry, I don't get much more than a couple of minutes here a day lately, so I missed your posts.

The tool is Arcsoft Photostudio, but any Photoshop-like application will do. The backgrounds are usually screenshots borrowed from gaming software or scenic photographs. The planes are diecast models of course, and a big part of putting this art together is getting the angles photographed correctly and realistically. The planes are then trimmed out of the digital picture and laid into the background. Effects like smoke, contrails, blazing guns, etc are all created within the tool.

Nice scenery btw, no4mkit! Is the Arcsoft Photostudio easier to use than Adobe's Photoshop? Thanks!

Re: Eastern Front dogfight...

Don't know for sure FlyX - never tried PhotoShop. I've heard it's complicated, and Photostudio I picked up fairly easily with a bit of trial and error. Photostudio came bundled with my digital camera, so you can't beat free, and it's powerful enough for now.
