Reason: correct grammatical error
I'm looking for a website that has a good narrative on the "Alcock & Brown" commemorative flight back in 1979 in which a pair of British FGR.2 (F-4M) Phantoms "re-created" the A&B 1919 flight across the Atlantic Ocean. I've found LOTS of photos of the planes ("Airliners.net") and lots of stuff on the original A&B 1919 flight, but almost nothing on the commemorative Phantom flight. If anyone can steer me in the direction of any such websites, or would care to send me any articles on the flight, particularly ones dealing with the planes, the crew, the flight planning of the event, plus anything else that might be considered pertinent to the event, I'd be most appreciative!! Thanks! - JY PS: Feel free to email me with any pertinent information, attachments, etc; at: JBY53@HARBORNET.COM - I find this method seems to work better than posting private messages - I don't seem to get to those very often. Thanks!! |
