Air Force grounds T-38s after fatal crashes

This is the second fatal crash involving a T-38C aircraft in eight days.

George Preddy was......Just the greatest fighter pilot who ever squinted through a gunsight.
He was a complete fighter pilot.......Colonel John C. Meyer Deputy Commander of the 352nd.

Just 2 days ago I saw a T-38 in the sky above Atlanta. What a beautiful airplane. I hope they are flying again soon,

Strange how these things seem to happen in pairs or "threes" if you believe that wive's tale (hopefully not true in this case!)

The T-38 is a great airframe with sleek lines -- there's a squadron based near Sacramento at Beale AFB and I saw them often when I lived up in Rocklin... and they typically do fly-bys at all the area air shows.
