Re: Russian bomber buzzes USS Nimitz carrier

IMHO, the press has some major ADD issues....whatever shiny object gets their attention at the moment even if it's been there all along!

Hope somebody got some nice shots (Pictures) of it as it went over.

Oooo... shiny...

Why yes indeedy....Congress is infatuated with another fat, stupid, tired-out ball player and yet another aged Russian bomber flew over an American aircraft carrier for the ten thousandth time.

(it's been in all the papers)

Re: Russian bomber buzzes USS Nimitz carrier

For some reason, I am just not worried. I have enough faith in our Navy and its pilots to keep us protected. I am sure the navy pilots were having a little fun and probably giving the russian's the finger, or showing them the Playboy playmate of the month centerfold.

Cool Pic of a Canadian CF 18 intercepting the big guy.

It's actually the reverse! The Russky's where showing a PLAYBOY spread to the Navy flyboys. I happened to save a TIME magazine snapshot of that very image.

Actually, I've read countless accounts of the Russian bomber crews of these encounters and 100% of them prefer to be intercepted by the US fighters whether NAVY, Air Force or Marines rather then NATO or JAF. The reason being is that the US pilots know the rules of the game and don't pull "dangerous or stupid stunts". Recently one of the Norwegian F-16 pilots wanted to go "Top Gun" and snap a photo of the cockpit of Tu-160 (I hope that you remember that part in Top Gun).

Fortunately, for everybody involved there was no mid-air collision.

Regards,

Sergey

Did the Norwegian pilot give him the bird?

Re: Russian bomber buzzes USS Nimitz carrier

I was miffed at this until I read you're very lucid perspecitve on the incident. Glad it's just show and not serious. I guess I've heard this was common but after Hanity gets done with it, who knows?

Speaking of threats to national security...
As an aside, BBC news was just covering a story about Hezbollah leaders calling the Zionists out and threatening a new onslaught against Israel and her infidel allies... ...announcing that Iraq will be ground zero for the new war against America.

1000s of young men at a rally screaming death to the west. What the ?

Should we just get this over with now? Is it bound to be now or later? I'm frustrated.

Leigh-Mallory and his big wings! Might as well stay on the ground for all the use they are!
