Re: Disabled spy satellite could land in US

Does anybody really think that the military doubted for a single minute that this missile intercept would be a success?...I mean for as much press as it got it certainly would have been just a bit of an embarrassment had it missed, wouldn't it?....I think it was a good opportunity to put certain other nations on notice, and I have to believe they had a lot more confidence that the sysyem would work than they let on....otherwise I think it would have been kept hush-hush at least until after it was (successfully) all over.....and no, I'm not in any way a conspiracy theorist.

I think you have some good points there. China really seems to be worried, as evidenced by this article:
China calls on US to provide data on satellite shootdown

Even though this wasn't an actual missile warhead, I think they realize that their ballistic missiles (and the ones they've sold to Iran, N. Korea, etc) will have a tough time getting thru our ABM defenses.
Well done US Navy!

Excellent observations, Mr.Imus.

...But it doesn't explain why the Navy's super-duper accurate missile missed Moncton! Have you any explanation to that, Mr.Genius?

I guess it just goes to show.....even inanimate objects don't want anything to do with Moncton.
