This Day In History: Wilhelm Rntgen Discovers X-Rays



While experimenting with electricity, Rntgen, a German physicist, observed peculiar wavelengths of electromagnetic radiation that he called X-rays. His discovery, which gave medicine a critical view inside the body and allowed bones to be photographed, remains a valuable tool in the diagnosis of numerous medical conditions and earned Rntgen the first Nobel Prize in Physics. Two years before Rntgen's discovery, X-rays had been produced, but their significance overlooked, at what US university?

This day in history...

November 8, 2005.

After collecting die-cast for almost two months now, my collection has grown from 0 to over 210+ diecast aircraft and 225+ assorted armour to the present day in 2007. Mostly in 1/72 scale.

Of even more importance, on what date in history were X-ray vision glasses introduced?...and at what university could TopHat be seen wearing them?

October 17th, 1962. Was he wearing them at one of those Ohio State Universities?
